2 friends came from interstate. We had lunch at the Kuranda Hotel, just across from the skyrail. Great atmosphere, service & meals excellent. Happy to go there anytime.

I booked with an hotels website, there are very nice pictures of the room. New looking room like a lot of chains. But you'll have an OLD room with awfull curtain and blanket. Chance the decoration of ALL your room or don't put theses photos...

Ok, this is not 4 star & the photos are a bit overdone, BUT the rooms are clean and most importantly, QUIET. Rooms are very tiny ( I was in B block, alone), and need refurbishing. The pool area is in constant use by smokers, while the smoke may drift into your room. I had a couple of breakfasts there, but on my last morning just could not face it and walked down to the Esplanade and had a great cooked breakfast. As always, you get what you pay for.

I've been there for three nights. Eventhough my first night was in a room with a malfunction aircon, I still regard Queens Court as one of the perfect hotels very convinient for a quiet home away holidatay accomodation. Tumbs up for the staff who works there: Excellent Hospility, rooms are very good for average income earners, free breakfast is also well prepared and served. If you are in Cairns and looking for affortable hotels, Queens Court is the place to go - A Home Away From Home.
