Caffiend is my favourite place for breakfast in Cairns. I usually have the goats cheese omlette. Always great coffee, friendly staff and always consistent. Without a doubt the best breakfast in Cairns. Salthouse have improved their breakfast menu but the service is up and down and if you know the owner....pleeeese ask them to loose the girl who sings live on the weekend. I'm sure she's a nice girl but her singer/songwriter nora jones-esk gloomy tunes make me want to break my cup on the side of the table and hack my wrists with shards of glass

Thumbs up to Caffiend! When so many eateries are closing down I think they will last because they have an identity and they look after their customers

Hi. It's great you had a lovely brekky experience. A lot of people seem to be having trouble finding somewhere that they are happy with service, food and cost. It's a shame as we live in such a beautiful place where people are looking for a place to go for a treat or when out walking. Thanks for that. We will give it a go. Cheers.

After reading a post here regarding the great coffee I walked up and down Grafton St and finally found Caffiend in a small arcade (where Kevin Shorey Jewellers is located).
Great coffee, my roasted vege ciabatta was great as was my sister's posh steak sarnie. We had a 10 month old and a 3 year old with us, and the friendly staff helped keep my older nephew entertained too (good ol' chalk drawing on cement trick). The chippies we shared (with garlic aioli) were the real deal - hand cut chips. A good chippery is hard to find these days!

On a final note - I found that the breakfast menu had that little bit more to offer on the savoury side for vegetarians who don't eat eggs, which has become a big challenge in Cairns. It can be annoying always having to order side dishes and off the menu (and ALWAYS more expensive). Well done guys - will be there for breakfast on Saturday morning!

Went to Caffiend in Grafton Street this morning for brekkie. Ordered a bacon & egg muffin and a flat white coffee. Muffin was generous with baby rocket, a beautiful home-made mayo, poached egg & 2 pieces of bacon beautifully cooked. Coffee was good too. Also like the way they have the roasting date of the coffee on the wall. Brekkie was $11 and the service was friendly and fast. Great!!!
