The Bank Job is quite an entertaining movie - albiet for some of the language which is something you wont want the kids to hear and possibly the lady of the house if she dreads a certain c word... Having said that its got it all happening, a bit of gratuitis nudity, sex, violence, crime and well you name it. Its based on a true story of a heist gone wrong... in all the right ways.

Martine offers Terry a lead on a foolproof bank hit on London's Baker Street. She targets a roomful of safe deposit boxes worth millions in cash and jewelry. But Terry and his crew don't realize the boxes also contain a treasure trove of dirty secrets - secrets that will thrust them into a deadly web of corruption and illicit scandal!

Ta da and a mr movire rating of 8, I rented the DVD from Network Video in Short street - $4 for overnight hire. All good!

Ok, so the title gives it away, and well its not that great a movie, certainly B grade comes to mind, even with Samuel L. Jackson "featuring" its a bit thin on the ground with the plot, basically an FBI agent takes on a plane full of deadly and poisonous snakes, deliberately released to kill a witness being flown from Honolulu to Los Angeles to testify against a mob boss. After a time I was left wondering just how many avionics systems can you take out and not have a jet fall out of the sky? Oh, I wasn't meant to think of that? Sorry... Its a weekly from Simon at Network Video in short st, I recommend it for a "movie party"! Mr M rating of 6.5

If you are into Comedy with an interesting mix of Scifi sendups and Eddy Murphy, then Meet Dave is for you.

Its about a crew of miniature aliens operating a spaceship that has a human form. While trying to save their planet, the aliens encounter a new problem, as their ship becomes quite "taken" with an Earth woman.

Its a new release and available at Network Video in short St, not sure how long till you can buy it so an overnight is still the way to go!

MM Rating of [7]

For those who are not trekkies (yet) I really lovel the original Star Trek series with Kirk and Nextgeneration with picard. I never really saw the point in Voyager and Deep Space 9 and even Enterprise was a bit of a let down in season 1 and 2, however Season 3 and 4 got it together and is worth a couch potato session!

I rented some other TV series from Network Video in short street - they have a pretty good range of DVD's for scifi nutters like myself...
