I must admit I was a little disapointed with a few things about our stay here. Though there were plenty of good things about this resort too. Good things were that it had a great view, a nice balcony, great sized spa in our room, clean room, very seccure parking and rooms, very very close to the marina, so easy walk to catch a boat to do some whale watching or visit Fraser Island, and very pleasant surroundings. There were some not so great things about our stay too. We arrived in Hervey Bay at 5:30 pm after driving from mid NSW, (about a 9 hour drive) to find that the reception was closed (reception closes at 5 pm). As we were considered late arrivals (I would not consider 5:30 pm late to check in! and did expect to be greated by a human behind a desk...) we had to use an intercom to get our key from a mini safe. We then had to find our room, no easy task. After finally finding our car park, we then walked up about 3 different (dark) paths trying to find our room. Could use some better signs. The next day we had to go to reception to officially check in, where we also found that they did not have in room internet access as I was led to believe, and that I would have to take my lap top to the local cafe or use the internet in the reception. If staying on an upper floor, be prepared to climb a few stairs. No lifts in our building anyway. We found that when going up the stairs at night, the automatic lights would come on, but when going down stairs the lights would only come on once you got to the bottom and opened the door. So a little dangerous. All up a nice stay, though staff were not particularly helpful, and because of our check in issues, we will probably stay somewhere else next time we are in Hervey Bay.
Room poor mould on bathroom ceiling. Dirty carpet. Vinies furniture. Beds old all lumpy. Ac leaking water on to the lounge floor.View excellent. Location fantasic. Grounds magic. Pool well kept. Clean up the rooms
