I have noted how valuable the many volunteers are in our community. Worthwhile causes are supported by people who love to do the many tasks to keep the community organisations operating. Especially in the category of Family Welfare and Sporting Groups. I can recommend Lifeline as one such organisation.

Second hand stores have incredible bargains on furniture, clothes and electrical goods.
I don't know why so many people think you have to be poor to shop in Life Line or St Vincent De Paul stores. You can often pick up things that have not even been used - unwanted wedding gifts like toasters or clothes with the price tags still attached.
In times like these you need to save money where you can, and this is one of the easiest ways.
