DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!!!!! The owner of the park also runs the public pool next door. He plays music (AT AN UNBELIEVABLE LEVEL!!!!) every waking hour of the day which rebounds around the narrow park driving everyone crazy. Sometimes he plays it until 10 or 11 pm taunting people when they make any remarks, pointing towards the front gate!! The brochure for the park is simple and reads "Quiet, secluded, peaceful" We think totally opposite. My partner and I have been traveling for 6 years now and have never felt so disappointed. WORST CARAVAN PARK IN AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had no problems here. The sites are large, the amenities block very large and clean, the park is quiet and much cheaper than staying in Airlie beach. I would not have a problem staying there again.

I never got past the gate of this place. I waited 10 minutes trying to get the attention of the man in the office and in spite of two other people telling him I was at the park window while he was at the pool window, he kept his back to me and ignored me. After 10 mins he came over and asked why I hadn't come to the other window. When I said I could not open the gate he told me it wasn't hard. He was rude and arrogant. He asked what I wanted. I told him a powered site for the night and he said he didn't have any so we drove out of town which meant he took business away from town since we would have spent money in the shops in the morning. We stayed at O'Connel river caravan park and the man there was so friendly and helpful and he told us he had four others in that had also walked away from this caravan park. I would not recommend it to anyone. In fact it was without a doubt the worst we encounted between Port Douglas and Brisbane.

, Fortunately we paid no attention to the two poor reviews for this park and decided to come to our own conclusion. Things must have changed since. From the first phone call to book at reception, the two young ladies and the young gentleman couldn't do enough to make sure we have a pleasant stay in Proserpine. The Proserpine Tourist Park is close to the business district and very nice, quiet, shady, green and tidy. The Park adjoins the heated Olympic pool (residents are permitted to swim free of charge), lawn bowls club and tennis courts. I have to make special mention of Carol the cleaner - she's a "whirlwind", keeping the large facilities very clean - but never too busy for a chat. I would recommend this Park to anyone.

I have just spent some very good time at the Proserpine Caravan Park. The person that ruined the appeal of the park is GONE (Cozze). We had a very relaxing time at the park and the staff were only to pleased to help us with anything that we needed. My travell partner is blind and they were very understanding. Will recommend this park to all that want to spend some time in the Whitsundays area. Must say Hi to all the staff and thank them for all their hospitality. Thank Guy and we will be seeing you again soon when we are in that area. Dave and Ali and Cozy Dog.
